About Me and My Clinical Practice

I have experience delivering Counselling and Psychotherapy in the public, private, community and academic settings. I have also gained wide-ranging experience in individual, couples, marriage, pre-marital, relationship plus group therapy.

I have a strong interest in multi-ethnic counselling and apply a culturally adapted approach particularly when working with clients from Black, African, Afro-Caribbean and Asian backgrounds.

I offer both short term/brief therapy and long term therapy. I apply several approaches that include Cognitive and behavioural therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, integrative therapy, systemic/family therapy, person-centred therapy plus mindfulness.

I aim at maintaining a collaborative counselling and therapeutic relationship plus provide safe, non-judgmental service where clients can explore and work through any emotional or life difficulties. I also help clients go through the journey of self-discovery, self-realisation, self-awareness and acceptance. Through the process, they are able to gain sustainable strategies and skills.

I believe strategies and skills learnt through therapy can be used for the rest of the client’s life to help keep symptoms away.
