Volunteer Counsellor

We are recruiting volunteer counsellors to offer individual counselling face-to-face, online (Skype), telephone sessions plus group therapy.  

Requirements:

  • Be at least in the second year of your counselling course and beyond, recently qualified, BACP or UKCP registered
  • Must be a member of a counselling professional body i.e BACP, UKCP or equivalent
  • Are able to travel to Barking, London for training and attending monthly group clinical supervision.
  • Has an understanding of working or is willing to work with a diverse population
  • Minimum commitment of 4 clients per week
  • Ability to develop and maintain a sound therapeutic relationship which includes commitment to delivery of a full treatment episode depending on your preferred therapeutic approach

Volunteer Administrator

We are looking for an office-based or virtual office volunteer administrator. The duties can be delivered from either our office in Barking, London or in your home as long as you are living within the UK. The role is unpaid and will require a commitment of a minimum of 3months.

 We are looking for someone who:

  • can prioritise their workload and work independently 
  • has good computer skills
  • has good interpersonal and team working skills
  • has the ability to communicate over the phone and by email  
  • has good English writing and reading skills
  • can confidently attend local community events on behalf of UCTS
  • has experience in social media management (desirable but not essential)
  • has experience in website content management (desirable but not essential)
  • has experience in online marketing (desirable but not essential)
  • Commitment to a minimum of 16 hours a week, 4hours per day for 3 months
